The Closet (2020)

The Closet is de eerste horrorfilm die in 2020 in Korea wordt uitgezonden. De film, die de inspanning van een vader op zoek naar zijn vermiste zoon in de kast vertelt, speelde ook Kim Shi-A. Eerder speelden Jung-woo en Shi-A samen in de film Ashfall.

Het probleem in The Closet begon toen Sang-Won (Ha Jung-woo) probeerde de relatie met zijn zoon Ina (Kim Shi-A) te verbeteren na de dood van de vrouw. Op een dag verhuisden ze naar een nieuw huis.

Echter, het werk in plaats daarvan vervreemd Sang-gewonnen van zijn pure dochter. Ina begon langzaam onnatuurlijk gedrag te vertonen. Niet alleen dat, ze horen ook vaak vreemde stemmen uit de kast in het nieuwe huis. Plotseling verdween Ina spoorloos.

Te midden van de zorgen van het verliezen van zijn enige kind, Sang-won ontmoet Kyung-hoon (Kim Nam-Gil) een mysterieuze man die zei dat de kast in de kamer van het kind werd een van de oorzaken van Ina te verdwijnen. Sang-Won en Kyung-Hoon werkten uiteindelijk samen om Ina te vinden.

Voordat hij in The Closet speelde, was Ha Jung-Woo eerder bekend voor films als The Chaser (2008), The Yellow Sea (2011) en The Berlin File (2013).

De geboren acteur van 11 maart 1979 speelde ook The Handmaiden (2016), Tunnel (2016), Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds (2017), Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days (2018), Ashfall (2019) en The Closet (2020).

Ondertussen was Kim Nam-Gil eerder bekend door memoires van a Murderer (2017), Live Up To Your Name (2017) en The Fiery Priest (2019).
